I am by no means a religious man, but the people who invented the TiVo are as close to gods as to make no difference! It's such a shame that (in typically British fashion) TiVo's UK marketing sucked so hard. I bought my TiVo brand new on eBay in November 2002 for the knock-down price of 130 pounds, just before Thomson pulled the plug on manufacturing it. TiVo has transformed my television viewing; I rarely watch any live TV at all these days - the TiVo records everything that I want (and some I don't), and I just watch it at my leisure.
